Scenic Montana Drives Your Family Will Love During Your Next RV Trip

Summer vacation is here and your kids are already antsy. Pack everybody into the RV and head out for a scenic drive everyone will remember. Give the kids a fun task to keep them from whining, such as a photo contest. The person who takes the best pictures with their cell phone wins. Fleet Truck & RV Repair can make sure your RV is ready to go on any of the following five scenic Montana drives.

Lake Koocanusa

This scenic drive starts in Eureka, MT, and ends in Libby, MT. You’ll drive along 69 miles of Lake Koocanusa’s eastern shore. This drive is perfect in the spring, summer, and fall, but summertime allows you to stop and fish in the Kootenai River. The prime spot for rainbow trout is below the Libby Dam.

Start in Browning, MT, and drive 352 miles to Gardiner, MT, and you will have driven from Glacier National Park to Yellowstone National Park. This drive will take a few days, but make sure to take ample time to stop and see all the sights. You can also fish along the way if fishing is your thing.

Looking Glass Hill Road

This route is located in Glacier National Park and it is 24 miles of twists and turns, so don’t take if you don’t feel comfortable driving your RV on it. You’ll start in East Glacier Village, MT, and end in Browning. There are plenty of hiking trails along the route for you and the family to stretch your legs.

Beartooth Highway

This is one of our favorite scenic Montana drives. Hop on Beartooth Highway at Cooke City Silver Gate, MT, and drive 64 miles to Red Lodge, MT. This is a forest route that will relax and inspire you and your family. You can stop and canoe or kayak along the way and get out and see 75 miles of Montana from the Beartooth Pass Summit.

Glacier National Park

Where do we start? Begin your drive in West Glacier, MT, and drive through the entire park. You’ll end your trek in St. Mary, MT, and have so much to do on the way, you should plan at least a week or more for your trip. The drive is 50 miles, but you can fish, hike, and enjoy water sports in the park.
